TC “Riding Against Rural Depopulation”

Summary

Riding against depopulation is a training course oriented towards the rural territory, with an itinerant itinerary through 5 municipalities of the Guadalhorce Valley, to promote eco-entrepreneurship and social economy, but also to see the impacts and causes, and understand the causes and solutions of social and environmental problems of rural areas.

Dates: 14. - 22. October 2024.

Main objectives:

  • to engage in a transformative form of "collaborative social innovation for climate action"

  • to foster learning and replication of best practices in sustainable tourism

  • to foster a cycle tourism model in rural areas of different countries

Participant profile:

  • Croatian residency

  • 18+ years old

  • interested in topic and is physically capable of longer bike rides

  • wants to improve their knowledge of sustainability

  • wants to learn new skills, methods, and tools

  • can communicate in English on a sufficient level

  • the project is fully financed by the European Commission as part of the Erasmus+ Programme

  • cost of food, accommodation and travel (up to 309€) is fully covered!
